Troop History

Originally chartered on April 3, 1944, Troop 33 celebrates its 75th year of serving Scouts in Hamilton, Michigan in 2019.  During that time, the Troop has had over sixty Scouts earn the rank of Eagle.  The Hamilton Lions Club currently charters the Troop.

Troop 33 is privileged to have it’s own scout cabin for meetings and events. Originally built in 1949. The first Scoutmaster was Jesse Kool who was awarded the Silver Beaver, which is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. The cabin was moved to the current location behind the Hamilton Ball Fields in 2010 with substantial support from the community.
